Alex was a farmer in Essex Jct., VT., before he moved his family to New York and then to Pennsylvania. He farmed for 34 years. Alex left farming in 1969 and went to work at Swayze’s Folding Box., in Canton, PA and continued to work there until he retired in 1981.

Alexander met and married Lucille N. Corron on March 1, 1938 in Burlington, Vermont. Lucille is the daughter of Jerry and Anna Mary Archambault Corron.
Children
Alexander and Lucille had 9 children, 2 sons and 7 daughters. Alexander J. Jr., Patricia Lucille, Elaine Joyce 1942-1943, Theresa, William Francis 1946-2016, Delina M., Judith, Sharon, and Ann. They also have many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Interests
Alex was a member of the St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Beech Flats Grange, Grand Parader’s, Machinist Union 1.A.M. and a G.L.F. Committeeman. His favorite past time was playing the harmonica.
