BURLINGTON – Lynn May Chagnon, 64, passed away, with her family by her side, at home, on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012. She was born in Burlington on Nov. 17, 1947, the daughter of Fred. P. and Marion M. (Vezina) Taft. She and Robert J. Chagnon were married on Nov. 12, 1966. She enjoyed Bingo, gambling, being with family, especially her wonderful, loving husband who always was and ever shall be her forever love. Along with her husband, Robert, she leaves her sons, Robert Jr. and wife, Audrey Chagnon, with their children, Dan and Kasey, and Steven and wife, Kelley Chagnon, with their children, Trevor, Austin, Evan and Madison; her sisters and husbands, Nancy and Bill Whitehouse, and Beverly and Keith Chapman; her brother and wife, David and Sherry Taft; her aunts and uncles, Marion Taft, Eugene and Elaine Marshall, Janice and Floyd Fitzpatrick, Claire and Paul Quintin, and Pat and Dizzy Desilets; her brothers and sisters-in-law and families, William and Sheila Chagnon, Joseph and Alice Chagnon, Randy and Judy Chagnon, Kathy and Michael Mayville and Jim and Lita Chagnon; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, Marion and Fred, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Hank Chagnon, Beverly Chagnon and Lydia and Henry Chagnon. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Chapel, 97 Elmwood Ave. Visitation is on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the VNA/ Hospice, 1110 Prim Rd., Colcheser, VT 05446. “I just want everyone I came in contact with in my lifetime to know that I did what I wanted and please remember me with fondness or not at all.”
