Larry David Chagnon was born on July 6, 1948, passed away peacefully at his home on May 31, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Larry served in the armed forces along with his best friends Glen Kockan, Lealand Rawles and Chuck First.
Larry was a machine operator for many years. He enjoyed dancing, western movies and family gatherings. Larry was a comedian who enjoyed making people laugh, had a great sense of humor, and loved to make people smile. He will be truly missed.
Larry is survived by his wife Linda Chagnon, his children, Michelle Chagnon of Fairfax, Holly and David Zacharis of Burlington, Christopher Chagnon and wife Caitlyn Rhel of Massachusetts and his stepchildren. His sister Barbara and Guy Beauregard of N.C. and his brother Raymond Chagnon of TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sophia Chagnon and Tucker Chagnon and many nieces and nephews. Also, many step grandchildren.
Larry was predeceased by his mother Alice Chagnon (Porier) and father Roy Chagnon, sister Linda Rock.
Our family would like to thank all the staff at Hospice and Home Health for all their kindness and care. We would also like to thank all the Dr’s and staff of the University of Vermont Health Center.
