It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Eric Rocque, who left us on February 22, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on December 7, 1971, in Burlington, Vermont, Paul was a lifelong resident of Vermont and most recently lived in Williston. He was the beloved son of Gary and Carol Rocque. He graduated from Champlain Valley Union Highschool in Hinesburg.
Paul leaves his four children; Sabrina Rocque and her spouse Tyler Combs, and their son Camden; Tyler Rocque; Andrea Marrier and her spouse Matthew, and their son Hunter; and Mariah Rocque and her partner Joseph Malzac, and their sons Kayne and Axton. His love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and they brought him great joy.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Melissa and Heidi, and is survived by his twin brother Peter (and his son Eric Rocque) and his sister Heather Graber (and her daughters Sophia and Maizey Graber).
Paul worked at Pinetree Stairways right out of high school for 4 years, IBM and Dirt-Tech for over 10 years.
He was man who found peace and solace in the outdoors, Paul had a deep passion for hunting, both with bow and rifle. He cherished the time spent in nature, relishing every opportunity to experience the beauty of Vermont’s landscape while enjoying music. Paul was also an avid racing fan, and one of his greatest joys was watching races with his twin brother, Peter. Together, they shared a bond built on years of cherished memories and love.
Paul was a true “Jack of all trades” with a vast array of skills and talents. He could fix any vehicle, build stairs, and was knowledgeable in excavation, construction, and roofing. If there was a problem to be solved, Paul was the one people turned to for his resourcefulness and ability to get things done was unmatched. Whether it was for work or simply to help friends or family in need, Paul was always ready to lend a hand.
His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and friends, all of whom will remember his warmth, generosity, and the countless ways he touched their lives.
A celebration of life will be held in Paul’s honor this Spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the McClure Miller Respite House, UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice – 3113 Roosevelt Hwy, Colchester, VT 05446 in his memory.
Paul’s presence in this world will be deeply missed, but the memories of his love for his family, his laughter, and his many talents will remain forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, Paul. You will never be forgotten.
