1928 – 2020
William “Bill” Ernest Proulx, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. Born on June 15, 1928 in Plattsburgh, NY to Francis and Lillian (Chagnon) Proulx. He was preceded in death by wives Pauline (Brooks) Proulx and Gena (Roinick) Proulx, son Billy, brother David Proulx, and sisters-in-law Joan and Pauline Proulx. Bill was a retired Superintendent of Chazy Central School and led a full retired life working at schools part-time, traveling and spending time with his family. Bill’s family will greatly miss visiting with him, especially his favorite spot on the front porch, where he whistled to the birds. He is survived by his daughters, Gisele (Dan) Johnson, Nicole (Greg) Liddell, Noreen (John) Lester and Sue Proulx; eight grandchildren, Ethan and Aidan Johnson, Ian and Drew Liddell, Kathryn and Matthew Lester, William (Alexandra) and Reed Meehan and was anticipating his first great grandchild in May 2021; his brothers, Bernard Proulx, Gerald Proulx; sister, Mary Anne (Paul) Conklin; sister-in-law, Beverly Proulx; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Alyce Jacoby.
